Submission Instructions for the Maryland Association for Higher Education Oustanding Educator Award

Nomination Process

Awards are granted in three categories: Administrator (for program innovation, the development of policy, or expert administration), Faculty (for curricular or pedigogical innovation or institutional service), and Advisor/Mentor (for developing effective advising or mentoring programs).

In order to select the institutional nominee, please submit the nomination package containing the following original, single-spaced unnumbered documents by approximately September 30th to:

The package should be unbound and include:

• Cover sheet containing nominee's name, position, title, address, office phone, email address AND award category.
• Two letters of recommendation (including complete contact information).
• Current curriculum vitae, signed and dated.
• Supporting materials documenting the candidate's contributions.

The University may submit ONLY ONE nomination per category. The University will prepare letters of nomination and application forms for those selected to be University nominees. The chosen nominees must be available to sign the application form.
