Submission Instructions for the Welcome Fellowship Grants
Nomination Process
There is a two-step nomination process.
Nominee should submit an unbound package by April 25, 2008 containing
the following original, single-sided, unnumbered documents
to:

Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs
University of Maryland
1119 Main Administration Building
College Park, MD 20742
The package should include:
- Cover sheet containing nominee’s name, social security number,
race, gender, anticipated rank, and department.
- Initial letter of nomination. (It would be helpful to
include data on the person’s minority
group representation among recent doctoral recipients or members of the professoriate.
- Current curriculum vitae, signed and dated.
- Evidence that the nominee has accepted the position (by the time the awards
have been announced).
The President
will then select nominations that will be forwarded to the Maryland Higher
Education Commission for their consideration.
