Take the Belonging and Community at UMD Survey
All UMD faculty, staff, and students are invited to take the Belonging and Community at UMD Survey. This comprehensive assessment of living, learning, and working will help us understand and improve the sense of connection at UMD. Faculty and staff members who complete the survey will be able to allocate $1 to either the Campus Pantry or the Student Crisis Fund.

- Encourage your students to take it during classes. We've created a slide that you can add to course materials.
How was the survey developed?
In Fall 2023, a Climate Survey Working Group (CSWG) was convened. The CSWG has worked with RankinClimate LLC, a nationally regarded research firm, to develop survey questions and an implementation plan. After the survey closes, RankinClimate will analyze the responses. The results will be reported back to campus in Fall 2024 and an action plan will be developed.
