Leave Benefits Who is eligible?
Annual and personal leave (a) appointment term must be 10 or 12 months
(b) employed at 50% or more time*
Creditable sick leave employed at 50% or more time*
Non-creditable sick leave (i.e. collegially supported leave where colleagues of the disabled faculty member voluntarily take over classes & other essential duties.) appointment must be for at least a year
Family and Medical Leave (a) initial appointment at least 12 months prior to date of requested leave
(b) employed at 50% or more time
Jury DutyALL faculty
Leave without pay (a) 12 mos. prior service
(b) full-time employment on a contract that includes the term that the leave would cover
Tuition Remission Benefits Who is eligible?
Tuition remission for employee (a) appointment must be for at least six months
(b) employed at 50% or more time*
Tuition remission for spouses and dependents (a) appointment must be for at least six months
(b) employed at 50% or more time*
(c) initial appointment 2 years prior to anticipated registration
